Coronavirus: Cox’s Bazar locked down 

 
 

Cox’s Bazar district has been put under lockdown on Wednesday (April 8) in order to check transmission of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Deputy Commissioner Md Kamal Hossain said the district is under lockdown, beginning this afternoon and the lockdown will continue until further notice in this regard.

He also said, “We don't want anyone of the district to get infected with the virus. We are imposing the lockdown so that no one can get in or out of the district."  

Stern action will be taken if anyone violates this order, Kamal Hossain warned.
